Deputy Head of School - The role:
Reporting directly to the Headteacher, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across the school, deputising where required, and taking responsibility for key operational and educational priorities.
Deputy Head of School – Key responsibilities:
- Support the Headteacher and school leadership team in providing effective management across the school
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of educational priorities
- Oversee staff development and performance management
- Drive inclusion and pastoral initiatives, promoting wellbeing, safeguarding, and engagement for all pupils.
- Analyse and interpret school performance data, using insights to inform strategic decisions and targeted interventions.
Deputy Head of School – Person specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in primary education
- Significant experience in senior or leadership teams
- Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance to the school
- Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and statutory frameworks
- Evidence of improving pupil outcomes through effective leadership
- Ability to analyse and interpret school performance data to drive improvement initiatives.
