As they continue to expand their operations, they’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to join the team in London.
Head of Student Operations – The Role:
As the Head of Operations, you will play a crucial role in designing and executing the operational strategy of this Further Education institution, with the support of your fellow management team.
You will lead a team responsible for managing and improving various operational aspects, ensuring seamless coordination between different departments, and contributing to the overall success of the institution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Further Education sector and a track record of delivering results in a similar role.
Head of Student Operations – Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to support the institution's goals and objectives
- Grow, lead, and manage a team of operational staff, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including admissions, student services, facilities management, finance, and compliance
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels across departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
- Monitor and evaluate operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, staying up-to-date with changes in the Further Education sector
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as government bodies, industry partners, and other educational institutions
Head of Student Operations – You:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Education Management, Operations or a related discipline). A master's degree would be a plus
- Proven experience in a senior operational role within the Further Education sector
- Strong knowledge of the operational challenges and trends in the Further Education industry
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for operations management
