Our client is a UK market leader within the engineering sector and have an ambitious 5 year growth strategy. Based out of their head office in the North West, they are looking to recruit a Business Development Director to develop and lead this strategy which includes breaking into new European markets.

The successful candidate will have significant business development experience having demonstrated the delivery of ambitious growth plans and preferably of successfully entering into new markets. Knowledge and experience of the European engineering sector and major plays will be a significant advantage. The candidate will require a strong strategic background, with experience of developing and implementing strategic plans, with a hands-on approach to the delivery of the plan.

There will be a substantial amount of travel expected to short-haul destinations across Europe. The candidate will be expected to scope out and assess the viability of potential new markets, identifying the best fit of the products with those markets and working closely with the design and engineering teams to adapt and develop new products and areas that might be required as a result.

A strong commercial focus and Profit and Loss accountability will be required and an excellent remuneration package is on offer for the outstanding candidate.
