This role is for a Global provider of healthcare software and systems. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will be responsible for 3 direct reports and over 90 indirect reports, heading up the whole development department. A hands-on man management approach will be required, as well as strategic planning and implementation. This role is a critical appointment for our client, and will have the full support of the executive board to deliver positive results.

You will require a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT/software, ideally in the healthcare environment, and having held senior management positions over recent years. You will also have a successful proven track record of managing multiple software development teams, as well as proven abilities to effectively plan and implement numerous software projects to time and budget.

You will be a motivated and organised leader, with a personable approach and be able to demonstrate positive engagement from stakeholders at all levels of a business. This role will be expected to develop and implement clear sets of plans and actions, as well as taking responsibility for producing a long term plan for ensuring the quality of products offered. You will also be required to produce and analyse a set of metrics on a monthly basis demonstrating the plan is delivering and is on track.

As a people manager, you will also be required to undertake regular performance appraisals across the department, tackling any issues and improving performance where appropriate.
