My client is a leading On-Site Utility company offering low carbon, and efficient electricity, heat, hot water and cooling to a range of sectors including Healthcare, Hospitality, Residential, Leisure Centres, and Industrial sites in the United Kingdom.
The organisation design, install, own, operate and maintain complete combined heat and power (CHP) and natural gas chiller cooling systems tailored to a customer`s specific site requirements. My client uniquely combines energy savings that improve the environment with exceptional economics. Customers pay only for the energy they need and use, at a rate guaranteed to be below their utility rates. There are no capital costs or operating expenses. As soon as my client begins producing energy onsite, customers typically realise cash savings, an enhanced cash flow and improvements to their bottom line.
In addition, the low carbon technology results in a reduction in the carbon footprint of the customer. The main focus of the role will be to secure long term contracts around the on-site utility CHP offering in order to meet the short and long term objectives of the business. Sales will be generated directly from owners or operators of suitable buildings and facilities.
The UK Sales manager will be responsible for designing and implementing a sales management process that ensures a continual pipeline of sales opportunities that can be successfully managed to order closure. This process should include appropriate monitoring and reporting. Although the overall sales and marketing strategies will be developed in cooperation with the Managing Director the UK Sales manager will be responsible for developing a sales team, including other field based sales staff. The role holder however will have their own individual targets to achieve and, as such they will be carrying out their own sales calls from day one.
The role is a Senior Management position alongside that of the Managing Director and Operations and Technical Manager. As such the role holder will be involved in the strategic management of the business, its general management and governance. Although not a directorial position at present it is fully expected that the role holder will aspire to and become a director in due course.
The ideal candidate will have an Energy or Utilities Solution Sales background, with an understanding of EPC contracts and carbon credits.
The ideal candidate will be results oriented with strong business orientation, customer focused with excellent communication skills. In return the organisation offers structured career development, an empowered and supportive working environment and highly competitive salary package, including a significant share option.
