Managing Director - Ecommerce

This role is working for a client who is operating in the online retail market and is growing significantly. They require an Managing Director to focus on their operational aspects of the business including the customer service and distribution warehouse elements. There will be an expectation to increase the operational efficiencies and drive further growth and customer satisfaction without compromising on the best practice processes or quality.

The role has a number of direct reports and our client has an in-built high performance culture with people regularly exceeding their standard responsibilities which has delivered significant success in a competitive sector. With a turnover approaching £20m, this position will be crucial for driving further growth within the company.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the online retail environment, and ideally, having a proven track record of delivering business growth. Our client is expecting a candidate who has strong commercial awareness, can demonstrate innovating thinking, and a good academic background would be beneficial. Stakeholder engagement at all levels will also be required, in particular, working collaboratively with the business owners to help them achieve their growth and vision for the business.
