Our client is a market leading UK defence engineering company with an ambitious growth plan to expand into a number of European markets. Based in their London head office, they are looking for a Programme Manager to join their team to work on numerous complex defence engineering projects.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering multiple and complex projects, from the initial bid stage to the delivering and successful implementation stages. A background in the defence sector would be extremely advantageous, although an engineering background is the core requirement. Excellent leadership, time management and communication skills will be required, as there will be a need to manage mutli-disciplinary teams, whilst providing regular updates to various levels of stakeholders.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

- Submission of Programme bids and pitching for investment
- Production and delivery of Programme Plan including the resource, skill and training elements
- Management of Programme teams to ensure projects are delivered to budget and schedule
- Close liaison across multiple disciplines to ensure project alignment and buy in.
- Clear communication and presentation updates to various levels of stakeholders including the Executive Board
- Risk management, cost saving and progress reviews
- Managing security information
