Senior Financial Accountant - Construction

Based in the North East, our client is a significant property developer with substantial growth plans within the UK market. Reporting into the Finance Director, they are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee their accounting team which consists of 4 Finance Managers.

The role will be responsible for ensuring construction projects are run on time and budget with weekly and monthly reporting identifying variances and risks to on time and on budget deliverables. In addition, oversight of the management of individual project P&Ls will be required culminating in a total project view across the business.

The successful candidate will also be expected to play a critical role in the production of the Annual Accounts, Balance Sheet, Consolidated cash flow statement, and all relevant tax returns. A key role is also required in the annual planning process in particular, in relation to setting the annual budgets.

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified and have a strong accountancy background, who is keen to make a difference in a medium sized but growing firm. Excellent people management and leadership skills are required.
