Our client is one of the top performing universities in the country and are looking to recruit a new Vice Chancellor following the imminent retirement of the previous incumbent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives on new challenges and has a passion for delivering the right educational programmes for students with a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, and preferably have already held a Head Teacher post at a senior educational institution or similarly senior position within an existing university. A proven track record in leadership and motivating is essential, and having an ethos of putting students needs at the heart of every decision that is made. A strong commercial awareness is also imperative with an ability to balance challenging funding issues with delivering the most effective educational programmes in the most efficient way.

The right calibre candidate will also require outstanding communication skills with an ability to influence and present to a range of stakeholders including student bodies, lecturers, and the board. Engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders including the wider community will also be essential, and oversight of the marketing activity will also be a key requirement.
