Our client is a leading defence manufacturing company, based in the North West but with a number of satellite offices in the UK and Europe. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to be part of an ambitious growth plan following substantial investment in developing new designs and products to target the European markets with a longer term view of expansion to the US.

The successful candidate will be required to oversee and manage the implementation of a number of new projects and must have Prince2 qualifications or equivalent and a background within the defence industry would be preferable. A proven track record in implementing projects on time and on budget is a must, and great leadership and communication skills will be required in order to integrate multi-disciplinary teams and ensure smooth and successful project implementation.

The role will involve:

- To control and be accountable for the development and delivery of a successful project plan
- Provision of reqular progress updates to various levels of stakeholders including the Executive Board
- Close monitoring and evaluation on the project performance in relation to cost, budget, schedule, quality & risk
- Efficient management of circa £1m-£2m budgets
